THE COLEBEE AFTER HOURS
Screening of our three documentary films ‘ Line Life Art’, ‘Chenda’ and ‘Twirl’ on migrant art practitioners and their art practices unravelled the stories of culture and creativity, enabling the building of bridges between communities. Hosted by the Mayor of Blacktown City council, the event included an artist talk and speeches by the people who work in the intersection of community and arts.

The Story Coffee Social
A celebration of the power of storytelling to unite, uplift and inspire action.A storytelling series, ‘The Story Coffee Social’ is a unique initiative aimed at enabling connections over cups of coffee, in a warm, welcoming environment. The events bring together people from diverse backgrounds to share their lived-in experiences.
The inaugural event was held in collaboration with Community Migrant Resource Centre.

LAUNCH: WOMEN OF BLACKTOWN 2025
WOB 25 featuring 25 women leaders and change makers who live/ work in the Blacktown community was launched along with Blacktown City council, at the International Women’s Day celebrations.
BEACONS OF HOPE – WOB 25 celebration workshop
The launch of Women of Blacktown 25 was celebrated through an event that included speeches and a workshop designed to build a leadership legacy for the next
generation of Blacktown’s women leaders.
In collaboration with Australian Catholic University, Blacktown campus.
TWIRL – SCREENING AND PANEL DISCUSSION
Collaborating with the Art Gallery of New South Wales and ICCR in Australia to do a dedicated the screening of my film, ‘TWIRL’, a panel discussion and a demonstration of the art practice. The discussion was themed around the ancient Indian art form Kathak and its legacy, identity of second generation immigrants in the Indian diaspora, intersectionality in arts, and how art practice serves the role of connecting cultures beyond being a vehicle of artistic expression.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT EVENT
In collaboration with Blacktown City libraries, featuring a panel discussion with ‘Women of the year’ award winners of Blacktown council. The event also featured a workshop on ‘building on your strengths’, aimed to develop a strong legacy in women leadership.
SCREENING ‘CHENDA’, AND PANEL ON MIGRANT STRYTELLING
Film screening at the Indian Consulate, Sydney, in collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Sydney ICCR in Australia, which included an insightful panel discussion on the topic, ‘migrant storytelling’.
